Synopsis
At Glenbogle, the Macdonald family is faced with an unusual problem - there is no crisis; Archie is married and the finances are under control. But soon fate conspires to put an end to that. Kilwillie needs a manager for a new restaurant in New York, reminding Archie there is life beyond Glenbogle. But Lexie is not so keen.

Love is in the air in the Highlands. Molly sets up a dating agency in Glenbogle and makes some unusual pairings, Duncan suddenly finds himself with an upper-crust girlfriend in the shape of Kilwillie's niece, Hermione. But will the course of true love run smoothly for Molly herself? While her relationship with Andrew begins to blossom into something more meaningful, her friend Golly's suspicions are growing. Is Andrew everything he claims? Another unexpected, new arrival if Golly's daughter, Jess, who forces him to take a crash course in parenting.

Then Archie's half brother, Paul, returns to Glenbogle and receives a mixed reception. Paul is eager to stay on at the estate and be a realm member of the family but will the Macdonalds be able to accept him?

The return of Archie's sister Lizzie provides the Laird with his toughest dilemma yet. An old letter detailing a trip that Hector made to Nepal in his youth, prompts brother and sister to set off and lay some family demons to rest. But will Archie be able to leave Glenbogle, and Lexie, behind?
