Synopsis

Based on the best-selling novel by PD James. When Cordelia Gray (Helen Baxendale) inherits a ramshackle detective agency from her eccentric ex-policeman boss she is thrown in at the deep end of an exciting, but often dangerous, career. Her first tentative steps in her new job revolve around the case of a Cambridge University student who is found hanged in extraordinary circumstances and a murder mystery in the beautiful city of Bath. Annette Crosbie is Edith Sparshott, Cordelia's no-nonsense office manager whose loyalty and intuition often keeps Cordelia out of danger and helps solve the crime.
