Synopsis
The headstrong heroine plunges once more into the murky world of crime. Now unexpectedly pregnant and with her detective agency struggling financially, Cordelia welcomes a deceptively simple surveillance job. However, a lapse of concentration proves costly when Cordelia realises she has actually led a killer to his target. Just as all her leads seem to be going nowhere, Mrs Sparshott uncovers vital clues, and Cordelia's target finds her. In the second film, Cordelia reluctantly accepts a job from her old adversary, Chief Superintendent Fergusson to spy on his daughter's boyfriend, the apparently respectable GP Tim Bolton. Just as Fergusson's suspicions are borne true, Bolton's body is discovered. In a bizarre twist, Cordelia is then hired by the daughter only to find herself pursuing a case where all roads lead to Fergusson as the prime suspect. But is Cordelia being used by someone who wants to bring Fergusson down?
